JELLOPOP (PROGRESS)

promotional campaign

Jellopop is a concept for a pop-up museum that celebrates the iconic gelatin dessert, Jell-O. It is a travelling sibling to the Jell-O Museum in New York, and is a sensorial interpretation of Jell-O, rather than just a history museum. While trying to create the assets for this project, I’ve probably made enough Jell-O to make up for my own Jell-O-less childhood.

GOALS
My goal was to create a museum concept that would interpret the original Jell-O museum into an experience that could be enjoyed by a broad audience. Currently, most of the visitors to the museum are families that grew up eating Jell-O.

INSPIRATION
I was inspired by vintage advertising graphics as well as modern interaction-focused pop-up museums such as the Museum of Ice Cream.

VISUAL LANGUAGE
I didn’t want to be limited by the Jell-O’s past, but I liked the classic graphics from old Jell-O content. I ended up choosing to combine some vintage visuals alongside the more modern graphics that I made.
